Crispia |
World Exploration is the main game mode and main story of Cookie Run: Kingdom.
Currently, World Exploration is split into two story arcs: Crispia and Beast-Yeast. There are 18 episodes of Crispia and 12 episodes of Beast-Yeast, totaling 30.
By clearing stages and episodes, players will earn Coins, Kingdom EXP, Cookie EXP, Toppings, and various other rewards. Certain stages also contribute to earning rewards from Events.
Overview[]

Stamina Jellies are required to play stages. After clearing a stage, the player is awarded stars based on the amount of defeated Cookies (0 Cookies for 3 stars, x1 Cookie for 2 stars, x2 Cookies for 1 star; reviving a Cookie gains back a star). Known as First Win rewards, these stars will grant
Crystals: 1 star for x20 Crystals, 2 stars for x30 Crystals, and 3 stars for x50 Crystals—a total of x100 Crystals. Additionally, earned stars are added to the episode's total star count, which grants milestone rewards at the one-third/two-thirds/all marks. Each episode's total amount of the stars always equals its number of stages times three (Ex. 30 stages × 3 = 90 stars).
Difficulty[]
Starting with Story Mode, there are three "difficulties" for the Crispia stages, with Story being the base difficulty and the primary method of game progression.
Dark Mode[]

Introduced in Version 1.1, Dark Mode is the second mode which is more difficult but offers greater rewards. It also has its own storyline that follows some of those aligned with the Darkness, focusing greatly on
Dark Choco Cookie in particular. To unlock Dark Mode, Episode 3 must be completed in Story Mode. Once Dark Mode is unlocked, all stars in an episode's Story Mode variant must be collected before the Dark Mode variant can be accessed.
Every day, the number of attempts for a Dark Mode stage is limited: a stage may be completed only 3 times, with up to 4 more attempts being able to be added with Crystals (for 7 attempts total). The number of attempts is used only after a stage is cleared successfully, so losing on the stage will not take away from the daily attempts.
Soulstones can be acquired as rewards for completing certain Dark Mode stages. The number of attempts allowed on these stages is the same as any other Dark Mode stage. Additionally, the player is guaranteed to be rewarded at least one Soulstone for every three stage clearings. However, these stages also cost more than twice as many Stamina Jellies to attempt compared to other Dark Mode stages.
Dark Mode's star system functions the same way as Story Mode's, but the final Crystal reward for earning all stars in an episode is replaced with a specific Cookie's Soulstone(s).
Master Mode[]
Introduced in Ch. III: Heroes of the Light update (v3.3), Master Mode is the third mode of Crispia. To unlock it, Episode 10 must be completed in Story Mode. Once unlocked, an Episode's Dark Mode must first be cleared before a player can access Master Mode.
Master Mode stages use different enemy teams compared to regular stages. These stages provide both Soul Essence & Soulcores, and Sugar Crystals, which are required for Ascension and Magic Candies respectively. The stage attempt and star systems function the same as Dark Mode's.
While Master Mode stages formerly inflicted debuffs and restricted Cookies' levels and maximum promotion ranks, this was removed in the Match Made in Oven update (v6.2).
