Head Icon Y-Your Majesty! The thing that was inside the cocoon... ...was a huge spider!
- Crunchy Chip Cookie

Webbed Spider Queen (Korean: 실타래 왕거미, siltalae wang-geomi, "Thread Skein Spider King") is the final boss of World Exploration: Beast-Yeast Episode 3, The Awakening of White Apathy. It is encountered at the end of Stage 3-30.

Story Appearance[]

When Head Icon Dark Cacao Cookie, Head Icon Caramel Arrow Cookie, Head Icon Crunchy Chip Cookie, Head Icon Cloud Haetae Cookie, Swift Dark Cacao Warrior, and Cautious Dark Cacao Warrior reach the Inner Temple, they discover a massive cocoon and the white fog thickens. Cautious Dark Cacao Warrior suddenly contracts the Pale Plague and Dark Cacao Cookie slashes at the cocoon, wanting to defeat Head Icon Mystic Flour Cookie upon realizing that she was the cause of the disease. This instead releases her from her slumber, and she reveals that she was the original holder of Dark Cacao Cookie's Soul Jam. The Webbed Spider Queen then descends from the cocoon and attacks the group.

Tips[]

  • Electricity-type damage from the likes of Head Icon Black Lemonade Cookie or Head Icon Stormbringer Cookie will excel in this battle, especially since Webbed Spider Queen is vulnerable to Zap and Overcurrent. But Cookies like Head Icon Tarte Tatin Cookie and Head Icon Crème Brûlée Cookie can still perform decently if their stats are high enough.
  • Immunity can protect Cookies from getting pulled into the cocoon. Ensure that the rearmost Cookie has an Skill like Skill icon Protector of the Golden City or Paladin Protection Skill icon Paladin's Devotion protecting them, as the Cocoon is very difficult to destroy even with at least 2 Electricity-type Cookies. Head Icon Wind Archer Cookie is a good potential option, as he remains Immune while transformed.
  • Use Cocoon of Futility Cocoon of Futility to protect frontline Cookies and heal them up before they get knocked out. There's no use saving it for later, and it's important to keep the whole team alive for as long as possible.
  • Bring either Head Icon Cloud Haetae Cookie or Head Icon Mystic Flour Cookie to the battle in order to neutralize the Power of Apathy buff on Webbed Spider Queen, as it'll hit very hard and fast otherwise. Mystic Flour Cookie is the better choice between the two, as Cloud Haetae Cookie can be surprisingly frail in this fight, especially when they aren't transformed.

Trivia[]

  • Despite the fact that the Flour Peak of Transcendence, the Ivory Pagoda, and Head Icon Mystic Flour Cookie herself are all largely Chinese-inspired, Webbed Spider Queen features a pair of Japanese chopsticks (pointed ends) rather than Chinese chopsticks (flat, circular ends). This was likely done to have them more resemble a spider's fangs.
  • Webbed Spider Queen's abdomen bears a design that resembles Mystic Flour Cookie's head.
  • Webbed Spider Queen's original Korean name (실타래 왕거미, siltalae wang-geomi) more directly translates to Thread Skein Spider King in English.
