Triple Cone Cup (Event)
Who will take home the cup?

The Triple Cone Cup is a limited-time Event, introduced during the The Triple Cone Cup Begins! update (v4.3). Pt.1 began on March 30th, 2023 and ended on April 18th, 2023, while Pt.2 began on April 20th, 2023 and ended May 18th, 2023.

Players are sorted into schools, and alongside their "classmates", participate to win events. The Triple Cone Cup will consist of 3 seasons for Pt.1 and 4 seasons for Pt.2, each season lasting one week. The students of the winning school will receive crystals, titles, decors, profile pictures, and other various rewards.

Overview[]

The Triple Cone Cup is a historic event that has been around ever since the three schools of Earthbread were built. There’s the unique and prestigious school of wizards, Parfaedia, the school of noble Paladins with the most wins, the Crème Knights, and the fiery school of warriors, Scovillia.

Players are randomly sorted into one of these three schools, where they can meet their classmates in the Student Quarters. Players can also visit the Student Quarters of other schools by using the Visit button. The portraits of the top students with the highest Contribution of that season will be displayed in the Student Quarters. Just like the Guild Hall, they can choose which Cookie to display as their avatar.

The Triple Cone Cup consists of of 3 seasons for Pt.1 and 4 seasons for Pt.2. One season of the Triple Cone Cup lasts for one week. One season consists the regular event, 'Fight for the Flag,' and a seasonal event that changes every season. Contribution is calculated for these events based on the sum of Rank Score and Game Score.

From Pt.2, the rank scores are adjusted depending on the number of players in a school.

Fight for the Flag[]

In this event, players can see the schools of other players in Kingdom Arena near their profile pictures (except from Grandmaster tier, where it is hidden). If they manage to defeat players of other schools, they'll gain Flags, which will add up to the Game Score. Game Score is not affected if the player loses or draw a battle, or attacks a player from their own school or without a school. The Rank Score is determined by the player's Kingdom Arena tier.

From Pt.2, the number of flags obtained is increased, and if the player's school's ranking isn't #1, then they'll gain additional flags depending on the school's current ranking.

Seasonal Events[]

Torch Run[]

Players run to collect as many Jellies as possible. The lane is filled with Jellies, Coins, Energy Potions, and Torches. Collected Torches can be used to upgrade the player's Max HP that would help them run further. Torches collected will be converted to Coins at the end of the season. Jellies will increase their Torch Run's Game Score, and for every 10 Torches (or every 50 if they collected 8,000 total) they'll get 1 point. The Rank Score will be based on the best score obtained in Torch Run.

Triple Torch

Trivia[]

  • The Triple Cone Cup may be inspired by the Triwizard Tournament from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling, with the 3 schools being Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, and Durmstrang.
  • During Pt.1, the event was initially met with backlash due to the huge gap in scores among the schools. The following countermeasures have been mentioned in the April 15th, 2023 announcement in the game:
    • Pt. 1 of this event will end and season rewards will be sent in the in-game mail box. The rewards are based on the schools' total scores from Seasons 1-3.
    • Triple Cone Cup Pt. 2 will begin with Seasons 4-7, in which the schools of players will be rearranged. While tallying scores, scores of less active players will be excluded and score correction will be done to the two schools with slightly lesser players to compensate the gap in the number of players.
    • Fight for the Flag event has its achievable score increased. Schools ranked 2nd and 3rd will receive a small bonus added to their final score.
    • A compensation of 3,000 Crystals was given to all players as a token of apology on April 15th.
  • During Pt.2 of the event, the following countermeasures have been mentioned in the April 26th, 2023 announcement in the game:
    • The number of flags obtained from Fight for the Flag will be increased with every season.
  • In Torch Run, colliding with obstacles while playing as V Cookie V Cookie will briefly display his sprites in a T-pose. This is possibly due to him being the only Cookie lacking a stun animation in the game's files.
