Equip Toppings to make your Cookies stronger.

Toppings are a type of Gear that Cookies can equip for stat boons and are a highly important aspect of any effective Cookie team. Toppings can be upgraded using Topping Pieces and Coins to enhance their effectiveness, and multiple Toppings of the same type can be equipped on a Cookie in order to activate a bonus set effect.

All Cookies start out with 1 Topping slot and gain one more at Lv.15, Lv.20, Lv.25, and Lv.30 for a total of 5 slots.

Toppings normally come in three rarities: XS (Common), S (Rare), and M (Epic). Toppings can also come in special, single-rarity variants known as Resonant Toppings that have better chances of useful bonuses upon upgrading. However, Resonant Toppings come with the caveat that they can only be equipped by specific Cookies, those being Cookies who released alongside them and/or match them thematically.

Upgrading Toppings

Toppings can be upgraded using Topping Pieces and Coins as materials.

The success rate of a Topping being upgraded is dependent on the current Level of the Topping. The success rate of upgrading a Topping is temporarily increased by a small percentage for each failed attempt until the Topping is successfully upgraded to the next Level. The maximum number of Upgrade Levels is dependent on the Rarity of the Topping: XS can be upgraded to +6, S to +9, and M to +12.

A Topping gains a random bonus effect once it is upgraded to +6, +9, and +12. These bonuses stack when applicable—S Toppings can have 2 bonus effects and M can have 3.

Resonant Toppings

Introduced in the Invitation From the Slumbering Moon update (v4.0), Resonant Toppings are a unique variety of Toppings that can only be equipped by Cookies associated with or thematically similar to the update in which they released. To make up for this, any bonuses that they gain from upgrading have a higher minimum stat value than those gained on regular Toppings, and bonuses may only be of the six most "meta" stat types—ATK, ATK SPD, CRIT%, Cooldown, DMG Resist, and CRIT Resist—of the normally-available ten.

Additionally, Resonant Toppings do not come in variants of all ten standard types of Toppings, offering only the five most "meta" options of Searing Raspberry, Swift Chocolate, Solid Almond, Bouncy Caramel, and Juicy Apple Jelly.

Resonant Toppings in their equippable forms are acquired by opening their respective Resonant Toppings item in Storage, which are categorized as and function identically to Choice Chests.

Indolent		Choose one of the five Indolent Toppings. An eternity free from suffering or responsibilities—does it not sound tempting? Give in to the sweetness of Joy and Happiness! This special topping can be used only by Cookies who harbor Sloth in their souls.
Flaming		Choose one of the five Flaming Toppings. May the stubborn flame purge the shadow and purify the chaos! Burn bright and purge the shadow, O Ever-burning Flame! This topping can be used only by Cookies who harness the legendary might of fire or Cookies of eternal hunger.
Sacred Vow		Choose one of the five Sacred Vow Toppings. A promise of forever will stay by your side until the end of time. The eternal promise of love in(sic) engraved deep within. This topping can be used only by Cookies who have made a sacred vow.
Truthful		Choose one of the five Truthful Toppings. The warmth of determination embraces all doubts and pain. Even imperfect truths can blossom with warmth in your heart. This special topping can be used only by Cookies with hearts of gold.
Deceitful		Choose one of the five Deceitful Toppings. Elaborate and insidious, lies await their next unsuspecting victim. The honeyed, yet venomous lie plunges the world into utter chaos. This special topping can be used only by Cookies who love the art of Deceit.
Iris Gem		Choose one of the Iris Gem Toppings. Like frost, a biting chill sweeps through the world. Cold as ice, strike down your foes with the merciless bite of winter's frost. This topping can be used only by Cookies with ice in their hearts.
Fragrant		Choose one of the five Fragrant Toppings. Feel the delicate scent of flowers envelop you. A flower is blooming at the tip of a branch, heralding the change of seasons. This special topping can be used only by Cookies of the Flower City.
Destructive		Choose one of the five Destructive Toppings. The potent aroma of the spices will have you looking for a fight! The potent Spice Storm awakens the wild beast in you. This topping can be used only by Cookies who covet the power of Destruction.
Life-sprouting		Choose one of the five Life-sprouting Toppings. The aroma of the lush green leaf and flower fills the air. The free-spirited gale revitalizes all living things. This special topping can be used only by Cookies who know the way of the wind.
Frosted Crystal		Choose one of the five Frosted Crystal Toppings. It emits great power-icy and unforgiving as the winter gale. Amidst the merciless winds of winter hides a little blooming warmth. This topping can be used only by Cookies of Winter.
Radiant Cheese		Choose one of the five Radiant Cheese Toppings. The golden cheese is tempting you to embrace your inner greed! A kingdom's prosperity is wielded by the hand of greed. This special topping can be used only by Cookies with glittering greed in their hearts.
Sea Salt		Choose one of the five Sea Salt Toppings. The calm melody coming from within the small conch calms your mind and soul. The waves bring hope for times who need it. This topping can be used only by Cookies that believe in the Almighty Sea.
Tropical Rock		Choose one of the five Tropical Rock Toppings. The fresh soda bubbles with the free spirit of the performers on the Pineapple Isle! The long awaited Summer Soda Rock Festa has finally returned! This special topping can be used by Cookies with a strong Rock Spirit.
Draconic		Choose one of the 5 Draconic Toppings. Who is courageous enough to wield this Topping trembling with flashes of red and green pulses? This topping radiates with draconic power. Only Cookies who have dedicated their lives to dragons can wield it.
Triple Cone Cup Trio		A special topping that allows you to select and obtain one of the 5 Triple Cone Cup Trio Toppings. You can smell the three different flavors all at once—an exciting Topping for a spectacular occasion! May the strongest flavor win! This special topping can be used by Cookies participating in the Triple Cone Cup.
Moonkissed		Choose one of the five Moonkissed Toppings. What could moonlight taste like...? Gentle moonlight shines equally for the real world and for the dreams. This topping can be used only by Cookies dwelling in the World of Dreams.

Mysterious Toppings, despite its appearance, is a Choice Chest that provides a choice of one of a given selection of Resonant Toppings.
