Targeting is a mechanic that determines the target priority of attacks and Status Effects.

Some effects don't possess specific targeting, and are listed in the Area of Effect section.

Single-target[]

Effects that prioritize one single unit.

Dual-target[]

Effects that prioritize up to two units.

Triple-target[]

Effects that prioritize up to three units.

Multi-target[]

Effects that prioritize more than three units (or all of them).

Penta-target[]

Effects that prioritize up to five units.

Front-target[]

Aims for the nearest enemies at the Front Front position.

Center-target[]

Aims for enemies at the Middle Middle.

Rear-target[]

Aims for enemies at the Rear Rear.

Stat Targeting[]

Aims for a specific unit type (Cookies, Summoned Creatures) or Stat.

Area of Effect[]

Area of effect (AoE) is a term used to indicate an attack that affects multiple targets than just a primary enemy, or does not have a specific targeting mechanism at all.

Point-blank[]

Point-blank area of effect is damage done from the user's melee attacks, or around the user themselves. The area damage is usually attached to them, and will follow their movement.

Splash[]

Splash area of effect attacks affect an area around the primary target, as well as the secondary targets near them. Typically on ranged attacks.

Ground[]

Ground area of effect attacks are typically constant, and stick to the ground for a certain amount of time. They affect any enemies that move onto the circular area.

Linear[]

Linear area of effect attacks are usually long/wide-ranged skills that damage all enemies in a line, horizontally or vertically.
