Set Story[]
The laboratory in the spire was still and calm. The silence only broke when dusk had settled and faint, sparkling lights rise one by one in the sky. It was precisely because the time had come for the renowned astronomer, Eclair Cookie, to begin his research!
"The sight of the clear sky tells me it's going to be a good night to observe the stars. Very well."
Eclair Cookie raised his telescope and looked towards the clear night sky. Lately, he was focusing his research on the northern sky. The northern sky, famous for its different star creatures, was turning more ferocious day by day. Particularly the Serpent and Lion constellations were scarily aggressive...
Oh? How come it's so quiet today? Eclair Cookie pondered about the calmness as he scanned the sky with his telescope. The Serpent and Lion constellations were intertwined, circling a twinkling light that the Cookie had never seen before. Eclair Cookie quickly magnified the sight with his telescope.
"They've finally calmed."
The majestic, twinkling light Eclair Cookie saw was the Wildberry Cookie star. The bright starlight of the Wildberry Cookie star had knocked out the Serpent and Lion constellations and, in turn, had subdued the other star creatures to become calm and well-behaved. Just as Eclair Cookie admired the sight, a ray of exceptionally clear and bright starlight hit the lens of his telescope. With his heart beating wildly, he quickly turned his telescope towards the light. It was the light reflected off the sharp blade of the Financier Cookie star!
"Stick to the rules and respect discipline. That is the path of Brilliant Light!"
As Financier Cookie's star made its stern proclamation, holding its star scales, the stars with murky light in their hearts quickly fled. On the other hand, the small and pure stars flocked happily to Financier Cookie's star's side! Eclair Cookie excitedly noted everything he'd seen in his research journal. How exciting! This was enough material for at least three new research papers...
As he became lost in thought, he lifted his head once more and noticed a bright, twinkling light in the Milky Way, one which could be seen without his telescope.
It was Cream Unicorn Cookie's star making its way through the Milky Way, flapping its wings through the starlight as soft, shining sugar butterflies and stardust gathered around them. As Cream Unicorn Cookie's star swam on, it emitted a soft and sweet, twinkling light. The mild light seemed to soften even the sharp and fierce glow of Financier Cookie's star, along with the heavy glow of Wildberry Cookie's star to a heavy luminescent fog. The small stars that were jumping at the feet of Financier Cookie's star leaned backwards towards each other and yawned sleepily. Even the star beasts that had once been intertwined around Wildberry Cookie's star began to snore.
Eclair Cookie, who had seen everything unfold, felt like he was in a dream. To think all this was real, when just a minute ago he'd been writing in his journal in the museum's archives...
"Huh? What? I wasn't observing the stars?"
Eclair Cookie stopped mumbling to himself and opened his eyes abruptly. The spire and night sky were nowhere to be seen. The only things greeting Eclair Cookie as he woke up was the dull wallpaper of the museum, his large desk adorned with piles of various documents, the biography of a mythical hero, and several constellation maps. The faint sound a Blueberry Birds' wings flapping told him it was dawn already.
Eclair Cookie looked down at the Nightlight Butterfly relic journal he'd been writing up until he'd dozed off. He adjusted his glasses and made his way to the Natural Ecology wing of the museum. The illuminated Nightlight Butterflies gave off a blue light that reminded him of the night sky he'd seen in his dream. He wondered... could the reason for his dream be the powder from the Nightlight Butterfly's wings? There were tales that they could induce dreams of the night sky, weren't there? On that day, the museum director stayed within the Natural Ecology wing for a long time, only accompanied by the serene silence of the morning.
