Stages can be battle on Story, Normal, or Hard mode. Clearing a difficulty mode rewards all one-time rewards from that mode and those below it. Coral Quill costs and repeatable rewards are the same for all difficulty modes.
Battles require Star Coral Cookie to be used on the team, and will automatically provide a Lv. 55/60/70, 3/4/5-star copy of Star Coral Cookie, equipped with a full set of Swift Chocolate toppings. The player may replace them with their own copy of Star Coral Cookie at any time.
Cookies battling in this story experience the following effects:
Star Coral: Star Coral Cookie's Star Coral buff is twice as powerful.
Beckoning Dreams: Whenever certain enemies use specific skills or get hit, your Cookies will gain the Weary status. Once Weary is fully stacked, the Cookie will fall Asleep. When the Sleep status wears off or is dispelled, the Cookie will take damage proportional to their Max HP. With each further repetition of this process, the damage will increase.
Your allies' Healing decreases by 65%.
Your allies' HP Shield's capacity decreases by 65%.
All enemies' Debuff Resist increases by 40%.
