Shield Spore is a regular enemy that appears in Beast-Yeast World Exploration Episode 1, Secrets of the Silver Kingdom. It serves as a frontline melee unit, dealing damage in an area with its rush attacks.
Behavior[]
Shield Spores spawn at the front of enemy waves, typically in pairs but potentially appearing in greater numbers. For their regular attack, they rush forward to ram into the first Cookie they encounter, dealing DMG in a large area and pushing all Cookies damaged back a medium distance. This attack will go through summoned creatures to hit Cookies, but has a medium-length cooldown during which time they will move backwards. Whenever a Cookie deals direct damage to a Cursed Shield, they receive Spore Points from the 
Spore Dispersal world effect.
Tips[]
- Shield Spores behave identically to the dreaded Cursed Shields, bringing an overwhelming amount of damage with them while also punishing Cookies that strike them back. Some levels in the episode may even have up to five Shield Spores appear at once.
- Summoned creatures can't be used to wall Shield Spores off from reaching the team. Cookies that can stand tall and survive consecutive rush attacks such as
Icicle Yeti Cookie are best for keeping these enemies away. - Hitting Shield Spores with even regular attacks will build up Spore Points, potentially triggering Mushroom Mutation before a Cookie can use their skill. Immunity effects from Cookies such as Burnt Cheese Cookie can be used to prevent Cookies from turning into mushrooms even when their Spore Points are filled up.
