Range

Range is a Cookie stat that is normally unseen in game. It determines the scope of any form of attack.

Effect

Range is used in all forms of attacks, such as AoE, regular attacks, targeting, etc. Most Cookies (other than certain AoE attackers) will attempt to course correct any form of range error, methods such as through moving closer/backwards or changing who they target; if a Cookie detects no enemies ahead but does detect enemies behind them, they will walk backwards.

Some Cookies with special properties like Icicle Yeti Cookie can "confuse" other Cookies' in their course correction. In this instance, due to Icicle Yeti Cookie's ability to shift between being targetable and untargetable, a Cookie far ahead of the two teams will attempt to move backwards, only to detect Icicle Yeti Cookie and target them instead of moving backwards.

Examples of Correction

Sea Fairy Cookie	Soaring Compassion	Will only target enemies what are in her range, sending all pillars at the frontmost enemies if needed.
Tea Knight Cookie	Battlemaster	If the enemy he was going to strike is already defeated, strikes the next closest enemy within range (targets Cookies first).
Golden Cheese Cookie	Brilliance of the Absolute	If an enemy she would normally target is too far away, targets the next enemy with the highest ATK. If the target is behind her, will throw the spear backwards.
		If an enemy is too far away from the target but still has Spear of Radiance stacks, they won't recieve the damage from the stacks.
Sherbet Cookie	Frost Shards	If most enemies are out of range, all shards will target an enemy that is in range, if all shards are out of range, they all miss.
Madeleine Cookie	Commander's Honor	Due to his skill attacks being strictly set in a certain position, enemies that are pushed too far off the path area (the sides) could completely dodge the regular attacks, despite this he simply continues doing his regular attacks as normal.

Range Decreasing

Range Decrease (known in game as Void) is a debuff that decreases the range of a Cookie.
