Merchant Squirrel is an NPC introduced in Stories by the Fireplace mid-update (v3.11).
This character manages the Squirrel Shop, trading the Kingdom's goods for exclusive items.

Merchant Squirrel is a chippery shopkeeper with a distinctive speech pattern. While it's unclear what kind of economy this shopkeeper is functioning under, Merchant Squirrel nevertheless is eager to sell unique goods for Acorns, even if it's the same Acorns traded from the Squirrel Shop to the player in the first place.

- Merchant Squirrel appears to be a Roll Cake Squirrel from the older Cookie Run games, who also appeared and managed their own limited-time Surprise Squirrel Shops.
