“ Well-well! Allow me to admire my work for a minute... „
Maestro Sugar Gnome is a non-playable character exclusive to Cookie Run: Kingdom, releasing at the game's launch. He is the leader of the Sugar Gnomes. He appears in Episode 1 of Story Mode as a supporting character, being rescued by GingerBrave and friends after being held captive by Licorice Cookie and his goons. Afterwards, he is a constant in the Kingdom at his Sugar Gnome Laboratory.
Summary[]
The Maestro Sugar Gnome, like any other Sugar Gnome, is very friendly and welcoming. He, too, has a deep sentimental connection to the Kingdom and is more than happy to help others, even going so far as to cancel his retirement vacation to help the Cookies. He is also much more collected and mature than the standard Gnome, staying relatively stable while being held by Licorice Cookie and only cracking when directly threatened with torture by milk. The Maestro has never been shown to spontaneously melt under pressure like a standard Gnome often will.
The Maestro follows the Gnome dialect of interjecting phrases like "duppiti-poo" and "dippiti-pee-doo" into his statements. Along with this, he employs similar pixie-like speech patterns to those a normal Gnome would use, although he tends to be more to-the-point in his speech. Unlike the Sugar Gnomes, the Maestro has a much deeper yet still playful, lilted voice.
While never appearing to construct anything himself, the Maestro Sugar Gnome is greatly skilled in the fields of architecture and drafting— he even created the plans for the Cookie Castle. Prior to being taken by Licorice Cookie, he had been retired from his field and was enjoying a trip away from work.
Not much is known about the Maestro's anatomy in particular, but it can be assumed that it is very similar to that of a standard Sugar Gnome. The Maestro Sugar Gnome is confirmed to be highly susceptible to melting by exposure to milk and likely is made of the same fine sugar as all other Gnomes.
Trivia[]
- The term "maestro" tends to refer more to a master of something rather than a leader of people; this title in particular being applied to the Maestro Sugar Gnome could reference his mastery of architecture and infrastructure.
- This may also imply that skill in the field of construction correlates directly to a Sugar Gnome's power and affluence in their society.
- Version 1.4 added him on a hill to the right of the Cookie Castle, designing something to be revealed at a later date. The version 1.5 update later revealed this to be the Sugar Gnome Laboratory.
- Maestro Sugar Gnome's Korean voice actor, Choi Won-hyeong, previously voiced Dark Choco Cookie before his departure.
- Maestro Sugar Gnome's Taiwanese voice actor, Yu Zhengsheng, also provide the voices of Vampire Cookie and Sparkling Cookie.
