Living Abyss (Korean: 덩어리진 감초바다의 심연, deong-eolijin gamchobadaui sim-yeon) is a monstrously large version of the Living Licorice Abyss found in Episode 13 of World Exploration, serving as a boss in Guild Battle. It was added to the mode in the Festival of Dreams and Wishes mid-update (v3.5) as part of Guild Battle's non-beta release.

General Tips[]
- The majority of the Living Abyss's attacks will inflict area damage, necessitating a lot of teamwide healing.
- Frontal damage comes in the form of the Licorice Oozes spawned by Abyssal Hive, who can overwhelm Front Cookies if left alone.
- Debuffs inflicted by Claws of Licorice and Poisonous Breath can be purified by Sunny Garden or Bookseller's Monocle. Their effects can also be reduced by Paru-paru-parfait!★, Black Shark Torpedo and ARMY's Wishes.
- Living Abyss's Chill of the Abyss Skill makes it immune to most debuffs as well as being highly resistant to damage. This severely impacts the effectiveness of Skills that target the Abyss directly, such as Vampirism.
- All damage inflicted on summoned Licorice Oozes will also damage the Living Abyss, making Skills that damage large crowds of enemies such as Abyssal Tentacles and Perfect Extraction effective ways of dealing damage to the Living Abyss. These kinds of Skills are greatly preferred to Skills that can only target a specific number of enemies, such as Book of History.
- Skills that increase in effectiveness by having multiple targets, such as Cherry Blossom Rain and Mighty Macaron Parade, can be used to their full potential as the Licorice Ooze are difficult to eliminate completely and will be continually spawned.
Team Compositions[]
This team focuses on Blueberry Pie Cookie being the main damage dealer, with her spawning a high ammount of lasers to hit blobs as much as possible, and Frost Queen Cookie serving as a secondary damage dealer. Blast from the Future, which when upgraded to at least +20, increases Blueberry Pie Cookie's damage by increasing the team's Electricity-type ATK. Pinecone Cookie is necesary, stunning the blobs as much as possible, to make Blueberry Pie Cookie spawn lasers at a quick pace, and Cream Ferret Cookie provides healing and multiple buffs like CRIT% Up and Fuzzy Scarf
Important: The boss's atacks become a lot stronger in higher levels, so its important to give more DMG Resist to your cookies as the levels increase, even if that means losing out on some damage. Blueberry Pie Cookie should have high ELEC DMG substats via Thunderous-type beascuits to be able to deal high damage to the blobs, with low ELEC DMG the damage done to the boss will be noticably lower than wanted. +40% cooldown or close is needed in both Twizzly Gummy Cookie and Frost Queen Cookie to run Dream Conductor's Whistle.
Substitutions: If the player does not have Blast from the Future at +20, Oyster Cookie can be used instead, if the player cant rearch the Cooldown reqs for Twizzly Gummy Cookie and Frost Queen Cookie, Dream Conductor's Whistle can be replaced for Squishy Jelly Watch. If the player has Frost Queen Cookie at 3 Ascended Stars or more, Cream Ferret Cookie can be replaced by Star Coral Cookie.Trivia[]
- Despite having a different name from the Living Licorice Abyss in English, the Living Abyss's name is the same as that of the Living Licorice Abyss in Korean (덩어리진 감초바다의 심연, deong-eolijin gamchobadaui sim-yeon).
