Overview |
Ooooooh! I see that those pesky little vine shackles that have held us captive for oh so, so SO long... ... are GONE!
-Ominous Voice
Hand of the Calamity is a boss that appears on the 30th stage of Beast-Yeast's Episode 1, Secrets of the Silver Kingdom.
Story Appearance[]
The vines that had kept the Seal of the Silver Tree shut are cursed with dark magic, most likely by
Dark Enchantress Cookie herself. In a bid to restore the vines, Elder Faerie Cookie uses the collected Light of Freedom and his own Life Powder to return
White Lily Cookie's shattered soul to her preserved body. However, the vines wither before they can be restored, and an ominous, gleeful voice extends their powers out from the rift to split it even wider. The Cookies of the Faerie Kingdom and
Pure Vanilla Cookie's group both give their all to seal the rift once again.

Tips[]
- Hand of the Calamity features much more multi-target damage compared to Eye of the Calamity, always hitting two or more Cookies with its abilities. Teams should be prepared to bring multiple healers into this battle, which can be difficult to balance with the damage required to defeat the boss within the time limit.
- Hand of the Calamity is immune to almost all debuffs, including undispellable ones, except for those inflicted by
The Culprit... is YOU!. Cookies that purely either grant buffs or deal damage should be prioritized for battling this boss, while Cookies that rely on applying debuffs should be avoided. - Cookies gain Spore Points every time they damage Hand of the Calamity. This makes it extremely difficult for Cookies like
Crème Brûlée Cookie to attack this boss without some form of
Immunity, as they'll otherwise spend too much time inflicting Mushroom Mutation to themselves with their own attacks. Cookies that grant Immunity to other Cookies such as
Burnt Cheese Cookie can be essential in keeping Cookies without immunity to Spore Dispersal active throughout the fight. - Hand of the Calamity has an undispellable
DMG Down buff throughout the fight.
- In Secrets of the Silver Kingdom, players battle this boss with 5 uses of Guardian Strike. Using Guardian Strike against the boss removes its DMG Down buff for 20 sec, allowing Cookies to deal their full damage to the boss while the buff is removed.
- All uses of Guardian Strike should be saved for the boss. It should be used whenever minions are summoned in order to defeat them quickly with Guardian Strike's AoEand allow Cookies to focus on damaging the boss.
- Dimensional Rift inflicts

Burn on the team and pushes them back. The debuff lasts a short time, but the pushback can force a team to have to walk back to the boss. - Ray of Destruction inflicts 5-7 stacks of

Injury and pushes the team back. The skill's effects begin immediately at the start of the animation, even before the laser is visible.
Pure Vanilla Cookie should be used to reduce the effects of Injury stacks, especially given how much damage the boss can output.
- Twisted Gaze both
Charms the two nearest Cookies for a few seconds and applies an undispellable
Weakness debuff on them for the entire battle. The Weakness debuff stacks, making it more difficult to keep those Cookies alive as the battle progresses. At least two tanky
Front Cookies should be run on a team to protect
Middle Cookies from receiving these debuffs instead.
