Elements are an Attack type introduced in the The Triple Cone Cup Begins! update (v4.3). There are currently 9 Elements in the game.
They serve as an additional factor in dealing damage, or taking increased damage.

Target is immobilized, and blocks buffs from being received. Deals Light-type DMG and Stuns once effect wears off.

Target receives Electricity-type DMG over time. Affected targets cannot gain HP Shield, and any ongoing HP Shields are dispelled.
Increases CRIT% for all Electricity-type Cookies in the team.
If self's CRIT% exceeds 30%, gains stat boost for every 1%. DMG Resist and Max HP is increased for self and Electricity-type Cookies, and Debuff Resist is increased for self.
Electricity-type DMG received is increased. Target receives Electricity-type DMG over time. Dispels HP Shield and has a chance to inflict Stun.
