Desert Raids is a seasonal game mode introduced in the Goddess of Eternal Gold mid-update (v4.13), coinciding with the releases of
Mozzarella Cookie and
Olive Cookie.
In this game mode, players and their friends collaborate to defeat Raid Bosses, earning rewards in the process. It is unlocked once a player experiences each of the following modes: World Exploration, Bounties, Kingdom Arena, Tropical Soda Islands, Tower of Sweet Chaos and Special Episodes. A player must win at least once in each mode (except for the Arena) to start a Desert Raid. A Desert Raid can also trigger by opening chests in Tower of Sweet Chaos, or viewing a new cutscene in Special Episodes.
The game mode is very similar to Tropical Raids, following the same format and rules.
- The first Season, Mirage Season, will run from November 3rd, 2023 to November 22nd, 2023 (v4.13).
Overview[]
A Desert Raid can randomly occur for a player after they clear any battle in the modes mentioned above, or can be summoned immediately by purchasing a Raid Boss Ticket for 300 Beetle Coins (limited to 3 times). Once encountered, it'll remain open for the entirety of the season until the player attacks it, after which it'll remain open for 2 hours (increased to 100 for Epic/Mythic Bosses). If players ask for help, the Raid can be accessed by friends and other players in the server. Up to 20 players can join in a Raid (increased to 100 for Epic/Mythic Bosses). After completion of a Raid, the player who encountered the boss can send a mailbox gift to them.
A Raid Ticket is required to attack in a Raid, which recharges over time. Players can refill 3 tickets either by purchasing each with 500 Beetle Coins, purchasing with 400 Crystals or by watching ads (limited to 5 times a day).
Players who quit the battle before inflicting less than 1% of the boss' HP in damage to the boss, or who complete battle after the boss is taken down, will receive no rewards but will have the Raid Ticket they spent returned.
When a Desert Raid Boss is defeated, the next boss that the player who discovered it will encounter will be of a higher level, up to a maximum of Lv.20. Starting from Lv. 8, there is a chance of a random Epic Boss appearing for the player who dealt the final attack to the boss, likelier for higher level Raids. The rewards obtained from Epic Bosses are proportionate to the damage done to it. Similarly, players who deal the final attack to an Epic Boss may encounter a Mythic Boss, which gives even more rewards proportionate to the damage done to it.

Tips & Recommendations[]
Team Composition[]
Tips[]
- Like Boss Hunt, the Giant Sand Jelly Worm will also have the Rage and Fatigue mechanics. Rage meter (red) gradually fills up over time, while a Fatigue meter (pink) fills every time the boss receives a debuff it is vulnerable to. The boss will unleash Sand Vortex when the Rage meter is full, but will be temporarily stunned and the Rage meter emptied if their Fatigue meter is full.
- The bosses are immune to most debuffs.
- Players must focus on dealing as much damage as possible. Due to the high ATK of boss, DMG Resist of Cookies is not as necessary as high ATK or CRIT%.
- Due to the restriction for Epic and Mythic bosses, having
Snapdragon Cookie,
BTS Cookies,
Healing and
Support Cookies in the team is disadvantageous, as it would affect all the team's Cookies' healing-based skill effects.
Macaron Cookie is the best means for healing despite this restriction, as Macaron Cookie is a
Magic Cookie that provides good teamwide healing.
- Do not focus attacking too much on a single boss. Bosses at the highest levels have enough health that multiple battles are required to fully defeat them. Ask for help from other players and rely on them to defeat high-level bosses, rather than try to defeat a single boss by yourself. Defeating them is not required, as the player can still receive a good amount of rewards from high-level bosses.
- Players that want to receive the full contribution and discovery rewards may want to organize a group of active friends to aid each other in the game, as other players can be unreliable sources of damage.
- It is preferable to deal at least 1% total damage with few tries as possible to receive the contribution rewards.
- It is better to trigger skills manually rather than automatically as the boss attacks constantly.
Golden Cheese Cookie is the best primary attacker for this game mode. Not only does she take advantage of the boss's weakness to
Earth-type damage, but her
Revive also allows her to survive past the boss's single use of its 1-shot ability.
Mozzarella Cookie and
Tarte Tatin Cookie are the best Epic damage-dealers for these bosses to prioritize. Mozzarella Cookie deals the most
Earth-type damage out of the Epic Cookies, and Tarte Tatin Cookie is an all-around excellent anti-boss Cookie regardless of the circumstances.
Fettuccine Cookie is an excellent choice for the Epic and Mythic bosses this season, as not only does she heal herself and deal
Earth-type damage, but she also takes advantage of their
Vulnerability to Taunt via
Unstable Fettuccine.
Rewards[]
Defeating a Desert Raid Boss grants all the participating players various rewards:
- Play Rewards - These are obtained every time the player participates in a Raid, with higher level Raids giving more rewards. Regular battles give Beetle Coins, while Epic/Mythic Boss battles give extra rewards.
- Discovery Reward - These are obtained by the player who has encountered a Desert Raids. They'll receive this reward regardless of their battle outcome. Regular battles give Beetle Coins, while Epic/Mythic Boss battles give Raid Keys.
- Contribution Reward - These rewards are based on the contribution rank. Higher level Raids give more rewards. These can only be received if the player defeats the boss, and has inflicted total damage of at least 1% of the Boss HP. The player will only receive 30% of the contribution reward if they fail to defeat the boss within the time limit.
- Bonus Reward Chance - Depending on the Boss level and contribution rank, the player might also get a chance to obtain a Raid Key.

Raid Keys[]
Raid Keys and Golden Crown Raid Keys can be obtained from Desert Raids under various conditions, or can be purchased with 5,000 and 12,000 Beetle Coins respectively. These are used to open Raid Chests and Golden Crown Raid Chests respectively.
Both of these chests contains items randomly picked from a predetermined pool:
