Dark Cacao Archer is a regular enemy that appears in World Exploration Episode 14, Citadel of the Frozen Cliff. They are ranged attackers that inflict link.
Behavior[]
Dark Cacao Archers can be found at the rear of enemy waves in groups of one to three. Their basic attack targets the nearest Cookie within a medium distance. Each attack deals damage, inflicts a stack of Injury that reduces Max HP by 1200, and knocks the target back a short distance.
After 3 regular attacks, Dark Cacao Archers charge up an interruptible special attack that targets the nearest Cookie within a medium distance and fires a large arrow at them, dealing high damage, inflicting Injury, and knocking them back twice as far as the regular attack.
Elite Dark Cacao Archers come in either singles or pairs. They have a second interruptible special attack that they use after every 4 actions. This special attack targets the 3 nearest Cookies within a long range and fires large arrows at them, dealing high damage, knocking them back a far distance, and linkning them for 1.5 seconds.
Tips[]
- Injury from Dark Cacao Archers can easily stack up, making the stage increasingly dangerous for whichever Front Cookie is absorbing the hits.
- Dark Cacao Archers ignore Summoned Creatures as targets, so it's no use trying to use a summoned creature frontline to redirect their attacks.
- Pure Vanilla Cookie can significantly alleviate the danger that Dark Cacao Archers pose, being able to reduce the HP lost to Injury with Love & Peace.
- The simplest and best course of action against Dark Cacao Archers is to combine AoE skills that can immediately hit the back of enemy waves (such as Mighty Macaron Parade or Abyssal Tentacles) to quickly defeat them.
- Debilitating these enemies can also prevent them from attacking and doing too much damage before they can be defeated, especially to interrupt their special attack.
- Elite Dark Cacao Archers can do much more damage than their regular counterparts. It may be worth saving an interrupting skill to stop their second special attack, as it's likely to strike Middle Cookies if it fires.
