Town Square |
Cuckoo Town Square is a game mode added in the Welcome! MyCookie update (v5.7). In this game mode, players can meet other players and participate in NPC quests and Town Square Events, while passively gaining rewards.
This game mode was first introduced temporarily in the Come Together! Cuckoo Town Square update (v5.3), and was active from March 27th, 2024 to April 24th, 2024.
Overview[]
The Cuckoo Town Square is a social hub for other players to meet and interact. Players can move, jump and slide around using their MyCookie. They can communicate on the channel by either chatting, using emojis, or performing some of their character's overworld animations.
Players can manually switch to the channel of any language region, which includes a Public option where any language is welcome. Each language has up to 999 channels, making it possible to organize semi-public online meetups, but only shows players belonging to the same server. The 10 most popular channels of the chosen language region also appear as accessible choices.
Players can talk to any of the NPCs in the Town Square, some of whom may give quests and requests to complete. Players can also claim daily rewards from Mailtriver Pups or participate in Town Square mini-events and events, which occur at particular times and offer small rewards. Remaining in the Town Square also accumulate passive rewards of Stamina Jellies, Juicy Stamina Jellies, and Town Square Coins, which can each be saved up to a certain amount.

Town Square Coins are obtained from completing quests and requests, and as a passive reward for staying in the game mode. These can be used to buy items from Catnip Cookie's shop in the hub.
Limited Events[]
Mini-events[]
Periodically, a mini-event takes place in the Town Square, which require cooperation with other members in the current channel to complete it. While it's possible to complete this event at any time, a player can only collect rewards from the event once each day.

Town Square Cleanup[]
A large bush will appear in a random location in the square. Players need to gather around the bush and sweep it to clear it off. It takes about 4 minutes to clean the bush alone, so multiple players need to sweep together to clear it quicker. Clearing the bush will reveal a chest containing a random reward for each player. If the player joins a channel in which the bush is already cleared, they can still claim the reward.
Cheese Vault[]
A vault and a purple envelope will appear at random locations in the Town Square. Players need to interact with the envelope, which reveals to them one of four random numbers of a 4-digit passcode that unlocks the Vault. After solving the passcode, players only need to enter it in the vault to obtain a random reward. Each player only gets three tries; if all tries are failed, they can try again in the next mini-event period.
Lost and Found[]
On certain days, items will be lost in the Town Square that can be picked up by the player and brought to the Lost-and-Found Closet. One item can be returned each day, which rewards 50 Choco Chalk. If the Lost-and-Found Closet is filled, players gain bonus rewards, which may include a random Soulstone.
Town Square Shop[]
Catnip Cookie runs a shop in the Town Square containing 6 items. The shop will always contain the seasonal and permanent items, and 3 items from the random stock. The shop refreshes every 2 days.

Rewards[]
Passive Rewards[]
Rewards are gained passively for every 5 mins the player stays in this game mode, which can be redeemed when exiting the Town Square. Accumulated rewards reset daily, so it's recommended to claim them before the daily reset.

Bell of Glory[]
The Bell of Glory is a feature that was added in the Wings of Eternity mid-update (v5.11), at the Lion Fountain in the south of the Town Square. Using certain items would ring the Bell of Glory, granting a specific 5-hour Burning Time buff to all players in the Town Square. The Bell of Glory can only be rung once every 30 seconds by any player in the Town Square.
Bell of Glory items are obtainable by reaching difficult requirements in certain game modes.

Trivia[]
- Unlike previous running events, you cannot play as
Sonic Cookie,
Tails Cookie,
BTS Cookies or any of the Guest Cookies.
- This game mode has external keyboard support in mobile platforms, with the control layout being WASD and JK. Each key press is counted as holding the mapped button for about a second, making it inefficient for playing the game. This is not a problem for Google Play Games on PC, which natively supports this.
