“ How about a cup of cocoa? „
Cocoa Cookie (Korean: 코코아맛 쿠키, kokoa-mat kuki) is an Epic Cookie released in the second part of the Frost Witch and the Lantern in the Snow update (v2.5). She is of the Defense type and her position is prioritized to the Front.
Game Description[]
Even if her dough is 80% cocoa, she's always sipping hot cocoa, even during the summer time. Her marshmallow hat is so deliciously sweet, she needs to resist the temptation of taking a chunk out of it and dipping it into her cup. Her plump smooth cheeks just add to her charm! When she indulges in a freshly prepared cup of cocoa, all her worries melt away.
Soulstone Description[]
Skill[]
Appearance[]
Cocoa Cookie is a Cookie of average height. She has long brown hair that reaches below her waist and with bangs slightly covering her face. This hair, from its shine to flowing design, is meant to mirror in appearance her namesake: the liquid one would find in a hot cup of cocoa. Her dough is brown, and she has brown eyes with a single short eyelash on each. While hard to tell at first glance due to her silhouette, it can be seen in various animations that she is quite slim under her clothes.
Her choice of clothes is one fitting for winter and cold weather. She is wearing a marshmallow hat on her head, possibly inspired by Russian ushanka-hats, and a long winter dress that reaches just above her feet, adorned all around its lower border with red triangles and a brown squiggly line. This dress can also be seen as referencing marshmallows in terms of its silhouette, giving her a fuller look. What she is wearing on her legs is unknown, but one can see black boots or shoes right under her dress. Finally, to wrap herself up, she is wearing what seems to be a winter fur shawl under which she keeps her arms most of the time.
Cocoa Cookie is always holding her mug with hot cocoa. The mug is colored red and is adorned with two green lines that go around the cup, one on top and one on the bottom, with a snowflake placed between the lines, and its handle is white with red stripes, much like generic Christmas candy canes. The mug is filled to the brim with cocoa at any given time, no matter how much Cocoa Cookie is shown to drink from it. Her Affection Jelly description from OvenBreak implies that this mug is just one of many identical mugs she owns.
When using her skill, Cocoa Cookie’s mug grows to a massive size, allowing her to ride on it from inside. The giant mug has a very similar design to the small mug, except the red and green sections now have a more subtle snowflake pattern, and the original snowflake has been replaced by a happy, relaxed face.
Personality[]
Cocoa Cookie is a very kind, sweet person who really cares about her fellow Cookies. She tries her best to help other people whenever possible, even if she has something else to do and helping could interrupt that. She very commonly invites other Cookies to her house, offers them hot cocoa and shares stories with them by the fireplace.[3]
Her most notable trait, by far, is her unwavering love for drinking hot cocoa. Most, if not all, of her quotes involve cocoa or metaphors related to cocoa. Whenever she feels tired, upset or lonely, she serves herself a nice cup of hot cocoa, and it’s what she recommends to the player and other Cookies to do, as she thinks it can solve any problem- such is her belief, that she will even offer to share a cup of cocoa to avoid fighting. One of her loading screen quotes also has her threaten her foes in case they stop her from having her cocoa.
Cocoa Cookie also shows interest in classical music and, more specifically, a lot of affection towards Mint Choco Cookie, to such degree that she calls his music even sweeter than cocoa. She has constantly been referred to as his biggest fan and as the only Cookie who was there for him from the start, since he played his music on the street. Upon being invited to his concert, it became her top priority, and she became immensely sad when she was unable to attend, thinking she had failed him. They are shown together in plenty of in-game content and also extra material such as advertisements or merchandise, showing that their bond is very strong.
