Cheesebirds are NPCs introduced in the Lost Golden City update (v4.11).
They are inhabitants of the Parmesands Desert, and make up most of the living residents of the Golden Cheese Kingdom. Their primary occupations are managing the cheese mines and worshipping 
Golden Cheese Cookie.
The Cheesebirds are written and voiced with an unusual quirk. In English text, "s" is frequently replaced with "z", and in English voice lines, many fricative "s" sounds become voiced "z".

- The
Cheesebird's Coin Purse Treasure is based off of the Cheesebirds and their proficiency at locating valuable things. - In the original version of the Golden Cheese Kingdom, as seen in the artbook, the Cheesebirds were originally planned to be the sole inhabitants of the Golden Cheese Kingdom, with only roles being to peck for Golden Beetles and pay tributes to Golden Cheese Cookie.
- The Cheesebirds are possibly inspired by the cheesy corn snack cheeseballs as evidenced by their circular shape and differences in their localized names.
