Snow on the Black Wall[]
Dire Straits[]
About a month[1] before the events of Snow on the Black Wall, the Black Citadel's First Watcher Caramel Arrow Cookie had put in efforts to aid the abandoned citizens of the kingdom by sharing with them her own rations during her personal time. 
Affogato Cookie, seeking to be rid of those who could interfere with his plans of treachery, claimed to 
King Dark Cacao Cookie’s court that this was an act of evading her responsibilities to instead spend leisure time in the villages. He also mentions to Dark Cacao Cookie that she had been handing out rations that were "likely stolen from the citadel's pantries".
Upon Caramel Arrow Cookie’s attempts to defend herself and explain that she was fairly helping the kingdom's people, Affogato Cookie twisted her words into disrespect towards those present; he posited that she was "accusing [the] humble court of failing to serve [their] Cookies" and "implying that His Majesty’s aides are selfish, greedy, and conniving" before advising Dark Cacao Cookie to banish her from the Citadel entirely. The King agreed, telling Caramel Arrow Cookie that her spirit had "always been one with the wilds" and that she had no need to return. She begrudgingly followed her King’s orders and retreated from the Citadel. After her banishment, she continued to spend time in the wilderness to protect the Dark Cacao Kingdom and its citizens in her own way.
A Chance Encounter[]
Caramel Arrow Cookie briefly laments on her exile, remarking that she hopes King Dark Cacao Cookie is doing well and that she prays the remaining Watchers don't fall victim to indignation. She swears to return to the citadel and prove her innocence, calling Affogato Cookie a "deceitful snake". However, she does still believe there may be some good reason for why Dark Cacao Cookie agreed to banish her.[2] These thoughts are quickly put away for another time, with Caramel Arrow Cookie stating she may be overthinking and attempting to make the best of her situation.
Any thoughts of doing that are interrupted by 
Wizard Cookie's scream, prompting Caramel Arrow Cookie to leap to the aid of GingerBrave and friends. After making sure everyone is safe, Caramel Arrow Cookie remarks on the protagonists' toughness before asking which village they call home, though her question goes unanswered as she is met with admiration and intrigue from GingerBrave and company. Their questions only briefly distract her, and she soon introduces herself, stating that she is a member of the Watchers and a humble servant of the king before telling the group her name. Caramel Arrow Cookie then bids the group farewell, but before she can leave, 
Custard Cookie III quickly remembers that she had said she is one of the king's servants. GingerBrave, remarking on the luck of the situation, tells Caramel Arrow Cookie that he and his friends need to deliver a message to Dark Cacao Cookie before asking if she can take them to the castle. Caramel Arrow Cookie somberly tells them about her banishment, quickly correcting the assumption that Dark Cacao Cookie had changed for the worst and expressing her frustration towards Affogato Cookie (though she does not mention him by name).
GingerBrave and friends tell Caramel Arrow Cookie about the rising of the Vanilla Kingdom and Hollyberry Kingdom, the letter written by 
Pure Vanilla Cookie, and that Earthbread is in danger. Gaining newfound hope with the news, Caramel Arrow Cookie agrees to bring GingerBrave and friends to the Black Citadel.
The Awakening of White Apathy[]
When the Pale Ailment started infecting the Cookies in the Dark Cacao Kingdom, Caramel Arrow Cookie arrived, wanting a status report on the treatments.
She later joins Dark Cacao Cookie's journey to Beast-Yeast. She is one of the few Dark Cacao able to rejoin him when a fog obscures the army's way.
