Buttercream, or the Buttercream Wyvern, is an NPC introduced in Legend of the Red Dragon update (v4.5). She is the faithful "draconic" partner of the last Dragon Rider, Royal Margarine Cookie.
Personality[]
Buttercream is a loyal wyvern, who appears to go along with everything that Royal Margarine Cookie decides for them to do. Due to her devotion to her rider, she's unafraid of even the biggest monsters that they might face, and believes that dragons aren't as scary as others think. While it's unclear why she chose to protect Royal Margarine Cookie, she feels that he should be happy to consider himself under her protection.
Story[]
Legend of the Red Dragon[]
Buttercream's first appearance depicts her being admired by the locals of Dragon City alongside Royal Margarine Cookie, who brags about his draconic steed. This catches the attention of 
Pitaya Dragon Cookie, who laughs at the idea of a wyvern calling itself a dragon, before spooking her with a word of Dragontongue. This causes her to panic, forcing Royal Margarine Cookie to calm her down.
Buttercream assists Royal Margarine Cookie in driving away some Cinnamon Wyverns that had approached the city. At some point, Buttercream tells Pitaya Dragon Cookie the story of how she met Royal Margarine Cookie, who had run away from wyverns at a young age instead of taming them.
When the Red Dragon attacks the city, Buttercream stays by Royal Margarine Cookie's side, first in his escape and then in his rescue of the Cookies stranded in the city. She accompanies him as well when he finally offers to help Tarte Tatin Cookie's group when they travel to the Dragon's Valley.
Buttercream accompanies Royal Margarine Cookie throughout the trip to the Dragon's Valley, battling alongside him. As the group battles monsters on the way to the Dragon's nest, Pitaya Dragon Cookie tells Buttercream to stop protecting Royal Margarine Cookie, as he wouldn't learn anything that way. Buttercream does not seem to like the idea however, instead flying off with Royal Margarine Cookie in tow.
In the end, she follows Royal Margarine Cookie when he decides to return to the Dragon Riders clan.
