Butter Roll Cookie (Korean: 버터롤맛 쿠키, beoteolol-mat kuki) is an Epic Cookie released in the Cookie Laboratorium mid-update (v5.2.1). He is of the 
Charge type and their position is prioritized to the 
Front. He first appeared as an NPC in the beginning of the Cookie Laboratorium update, playing a major role in the story of the the Laboratorium.
Kidnapped and assigned director, Butter Roll Cookie serves the Cookies of Darkness within the depths of Beast-Yeast's Laboratorium as a Cookie-creation researcher. Despite his situation, the always-lighthearted Butter Roll Cookie is more than eager to help conduct experiments, being delighted by the Laboratorium's advanced facilities.

One of Beast-Yeast's best-kept secrets is the mysterious Laboratorium. There, a team of passionate scientists conducts all sorts of peculiar experiments on the Cookie dough under the leadership of Director Butter Roll Cookie, a baker extraordinaire wielding an enormous whisk. Butter Roll Cookie regards his subordinates' mistakes as happy little accidents paving the way to future breakthroughs. There is no baking conundrum Butter Roll Cookie's expert hands cannot whip up a solution for! Under his rolling pin, meringues come out light as air and dough, smooth as silk, earning him an unquestionable authority. And yet, there is something bone-chilling about the way Butter Roll Cookie's smile vanishes from his face when he works his dough.

Butter Roll Cookie has egg-golden eyes with white borders and pupils, with the pupils able to take the shape of a four-pointed star whenever he's excited. He has voluminous hair with curls on the sides that spiral upwards and a tip that reaches down to his knees. The hair is colored light-yellow with an overall brown tone, granting it an appearance very similar to a large bread roll with small rolls on its sides. His dough is colored a medium-baked brown.
Butter Roll Cookie wears a white chef's uniform with yellow triangle-shaped buttons, thin black armbands, and maroon sleeves, as well as a maroon apron, a black buckled belt, and black pants and shoes. He wears a maroon-shaded pair goggles on his head, similar to a pair of laboratory goggles, and a large black silicone oven mitt on one hand. He uses his mitted hand to wield a gigantic dark-purple and magenta whisk, which has a wrapped handle. A flaming eye with the same colors as the whisk and a pink diamond-shaped pupil hovers above the whisk's end.
Personality[]
Butter Roll Cookie is an unusually-positive Cookie, despite the fact that his passion is in the preparation and handling of raw dough, something even the most villainous Cookies may find nauseating. But Butter Roll Cookie has no doubts whatsoever with his profession, instead seeing it as a discipline truly worth his great and methodological attention to be studied for the sake of science. This dubious morality makes him a perfect addition to the Cookies of Darkness, as his foremost goal is to be the Cookies that discovers how to bake perfect Cookies—even the most potentially disastrous consequences for Earthbread aren't a big enough disincentive to conducting experiments with the very tools that the Witches themselves used.
Butter Roll Cookie is endlessly patient and encouraging to the Researcher Cookies that work with him, reframing any failures and setbacks that occur as simply part of the scientific process. However, he's also so intensely focused on the baking of Cookies that he doesn't consider the creation of any other forms of baked life to be worthy of study. It also leads to him having uncomfortable inquiries about Cookies like 
Matcha Cookie, who were able to come to life despite lacking a certain ingredient.
Age Notes[]
Butter Roll Cookie's age is not confirmed. However, the following details relate to his age and can be used to draw inferences on how old he may be.
- Butter Roll Cookie's April Fool's sprite in particular, which depicts him as visibly younger than his standard appearance, appeared in a Children's Day post while his standard appearance did not.
- Butter Roll Cookie was once a student, having been banished from academia.
- Butter Roll Cookie oversees and directs staff.
Trivia[]
- His loading screen trivia states, "According to the Laboratorium's internal newsletter, Butter Roll Cookie has been selected as the Best Boss to Work For."
- Butter Roll Cookie's kingdom interaction with Espresso Cookie reveals both that the two are acquainted and that Butter Roll Cookie was "expelled from academia" in the past for reasons unknown.
- Notably, the generic word "academia" (or 학계 [haggye] in the Korean script) is used, making Butter Roll Cookie's situation vague; it is unclear if he was removed from one specific school or banned from any and all schooling, though the nonspecific nature of the term "academia" more supports the latter scenario.
- Butter Roll Cookie's playable assets appeared as early as the Cookie Laboratorium update (v5.2) trailer, with his head icon visible in the Faerie Kingdom Battle game mode.
- Butter Roll Cookie's English voice actor, Kieran Regan, also provides the voice of Starchy the Moletato.
