Baumkuchen Cookie is an elder of the Crème RepublicConvocation of Elders and the head of House Baumkuchen, whose sphere of influence is medicine and the well-being of the Republic's Cookies. As with other members of the council, Baumkuchen Cookie holds great influence over the Republic and its politics.
Personality[]
Baumkuchen Cookie is a reserved Cookie who would rather keep to himself than interact with others on his own regard. Being the symbol of medicine in the Créme Republic, he concerns himself with the health of others and will go out of his way to tend to any possible wounds to others he has never met before. This desire to heal others comes from his own inability to heal himself as ever since he was a child, he has been too soft for his own good and extremely frail. With that and the irreversible damage caused by the Light Fragment that crashed into the Créme Republic, he vowed to become the greatest healer in history.
Baumkuchen Cookie, as devoted as he is to his theories and experiments in the medicinal field, is envious of those in better health than him. The Ancient Heroes specifically pose as a prime figure he feels coveted for their immortality and youth. Even though one side firmly believes the Soul Jams should not be tampered with due to what could result from such, another side of him yields morbid curiosity as to the extent of their healing properties due to his own situation.
Story[]
Baumkuchen Cookie first appears in the prologue of Cookie Odyssey discussing the matter of whom should represent the Crème Republic in the meeting of the Ancient Heroes. He questions if the Ancient Heroes are even worth reasoning with due to possibly being in their ways due to their old age. Like the rest of the council, he agrees with Custard Cookie in having Clotted Cream Cookie represent the Republic as to not allow another war to come to the Crème Republic.
In Chapter 2, he is met by GingerBrave, Wildberry Cookie, and Crunchy Chip Cookie and is questioned by the three if he knows anything about the White Masks that have recently appeared in the Republic. After having the situation explained to him, Baumkuchen Cookie affirms he has no idea of the situation and cannot be of help due to the increase in injured Cookies as of late. GingerBrave, noticing Baumkuchen Cookie is wearing a white mask himself, asks why he was wearing one. He explains that during an incident where a Light Fragment presumably from a Soul Jam fell into the Republic, he was a direct victim of the destruction that the fragment caused. From this, his face received irreversible damage that to this day has given long-lasting effects. On the topic of the Soul Jam's, Baumkuchen Cookie explains his view on the concept of researching into them. On one hand, the medicinal advances that can come from studying them can be groundbreaking. On another hand, corruption can easily quell these advances in favor for power. Coming from his own jealousy in the immortality and youth the Ancient Heroes hold, Baumkuchen Cookie firmly believes the Soul Jam's are dangerous and should not be tampered with. He is fascinated by these benefits and wishes for an opportunity to examine the Soul Jams himself, yet accepts that opportunity will never come to him for the better. After the conversation, Wildberry Cookie and Crunchy Chip Cookie discuss their suspicions of Baumkuchen Cookie. While Wildberry Cookie is suspicious of his desire to examine the Soul Jam's for himself, Crunchy Chip Cookie is simply suspicious of him wearing a white mask like the current threat. GingerBrave tells the two to not jump to conclusions but also not let their guard down.
Baumkuchen Cookie is last seen in a brief appearance in Chapter 3 escaping the Lyceum with the other Elders during the invasion of the Crème Republic. Sablé Cookie shouts for help in pushing Baumkuchen Cookie's wheelchair and he thanks her for helping him for his wheelchair was partially destroyed in the chaos.

Baumkuchen Cookie is the first and only named Cookie to use a wheelchair in all of the Cookie Run franchise.

Baumkuchen Cookie has been featured two DevNowshowcases without his veil accessory alongside other early sprites for the Crème Republic Council. A vague shape of a laurel wreath headpiece akin to that of Vanilla Sugar Cookie can be seen within his silhouette.

Another unused, early version of Baumkuchen Cookie's default sprite appeared in the files of The Glory of the Crème Republic update (v3.2) before the proper reveal of his character design. The largest difference in this sprite compared to his final design is the lack of a cross decal on his mask.
