Set Story[]
Silverware glistened in the shadows of the Cake Tower. Once filled with monstrous snarls and growls, it resonated with loud and powerful music tonight. The shiniest silver tray was emptied and ready to welcome the villainous B.A.D 4 on the night of their debut showcase. The song, the choreography, the style had been long decided upon... yet one question remained: who would become the leader?!
"Eh... Schwarzwälder's sharp spikes are everywhere... What if my hat gets pierced?"
"Your hat won't even reach my spikes...?"
The leader. First among equals. Great responsibility. Who will take up this lucrative role? The four members squabbled even more then usual today...
"Your mic stand keeps getting in my way!"
"And you can't even dodge it...? How pathetic..."
"What?! No one would ever want to perform on the same stage with you!"
The air in the practice hall was becoming more and more heated when a cold, sharp voice cut right through the argument.
"What a worry bunch. You dare sully the Producer's moment of triumph?!"
"Hm... How marvelous."
"?!?!"
The voice startled everyone in the room and made them turn their heads to its source. Pomegranate Cookie's elegant glasses twinkled as she stood by the entrance. And with her... Dark Enchantress Cookie herself?!
"D-d-d-dark Enchantress Cookie! I was merely... providing guidance to my fellow members!"
Fast as lightning, Licorice Cookie appeared by Dark Enchantress Cookie's side, nervously rubbing his hands.
"Indeed, this bunch is in dire need of strong leadership. And I believe there is no better candidate than... myself!"
"Cease this pointless charade at once. Producer Dark Enchantress Cookie has already made her wise decision."
"Ah..."
"The dessert to become the leader is..."
Everyone stared at Pomegranate Cookie.
"...Schwarzwälder."
"Tsk tsk. How unfortunate."
"I... I'm the leader...!"
"Wow, I'm so happy for you!"
"What? WHO?! But I...!"
"Are you dissatisfied with Dark Enchantress Cookie, Licorice Cookie?"
Pomegranate Cookie's relentless gaze left Licorice Cookie with no other choice but to accept his fate with a tiny whimper. The scarlet manager continued.
"Schwarzwälder, as T.N.T, you no longer answer to Licorice Cookie."
"Huh!? But..."
"Above all, a leader must show strength and adamant resolve. Make sure to adjust your priorities."
The giant stood in utter confusion. Pomegranate Cookie turned her attention to Red Velvet Cookie.
"HellHound will wear this eyepatch."
"... How am I supposed to perform with this? I will lose all sense of balance."
"Work on it."
Next was Licorice Cookie's turn. As expected, his expression was more than sour.
"ZZ Skull. You will tie your hair. The audience must see your face."
"But I don't like to show my face!"
"Just one half is enough. Call it... a compromise. Hmph."
Lastly, Pomegranate Cookie approached Poison Mushroom Cookie with a new spotted mushroom hat and a necklace.
"And you, MUSHY P., will wear these."
"Whoah..."
"What... WHAT! Poison Mushroom Cookie's task is— to be Poison Mushroom Cookie?! That's unfair!"
"My recommendations are carefully calculated and tailored to each of your unique characters. And starting this instant, you will call Poison Mushroom Cookie 'MUSHY P.' Calling each other by stage names will become part of your training."
Pomegranate Cookie looked over her glasses.
"To your potential fans, your stage names must be inseparable from your images. Finally, I, once again, would like to stress that you will only call our Master the "Producer" on stage."
Pomegranate Cookie turned to Dark Enchantress Cookie.
"Everything will be prepared according to your wise instructions, Master."
"Do not betray my trust, Pomegranate Cookie. Failure is not an option."
With an unfathomable smirk on her face, Dark Enchantress Cookie strolled out of the room. At last, everyone could breathe out... until Pomegranate Cookie cast another relentless glance at B.A.D 4.
"You heard her, yes? We must not disappoint our Master. Work together, fight, crumble— I could not care less! But your performance must be IMPECCABLE!"
After Pomegranate Cookie's words, music played in the practice hall until dawn. And the stars in the sky twinkled just like the manager's glasses while they looked down at the unfortunate performers...
