Set Story[]
An unbelievable sight unfolded before Dark Cacao Cookie's eyes-his Kingdom, flourishing, and his son seated upon the throne, receiving the bows of the denizens. A chill ran down his dough, knowing that his Kingdom had finally reached its golden days only after he had vanished. An unspeakable dread, years in the making, pressed heavily upon his heart.
"... Will anyone even notice... if I crumble here? How futile. Is this what Apathy feels like...?" His agonized whispers dissolved into the air.
Silently, Mystic Flour Cookie watched it all unfold-from his pained murmurs to the dissipating anguish. He, who had struggled to stay afloat, trapped by his own foolishness, had now accepted Apathy.
Once the pain of realization passed, the ache that had rattled Dark Cacao Cookie dulled. Like the final glimmer of light at dusk, his pain sank beyond the horizon of acceptance.
Silence enveloped the two Cookies.
"... Do you have any regrets?" A voice, as transparent and fleeting as morning dew, sliced through the twilight.
Dark Cacao Cookie's gaze drifted to the setting sun. The sky, saturated in red, called to mind the countless battles of his past and the Resolution that had once burned brightly within him. Decisions, regrets, fears, and burdens flashed before his eyes. The ache of letting go, the weight of futility drowning his heart... they all seemed like distant memories now.
He turned his head away. The agony and grief had faded, leaving only the endless stillness of dusk.
"Regrets...? None at all," he said calmly.
The Master of Apathy stood behind him.
"Soon... the endless darkness shall come." She spoke like a premonition, devoid of expectation.
With her words, the final light of dusk vanished. Pitch-black darkness swept across the land, swallowing everything in its path. Stars rained down from the night sky, and a luminous path of the Milky Way arched overhead-countless stars glistening, repeating the endless cycle of birth and death.
Finally, the world froze. Silence echoed, heavy and eternal-like the finality of night.

A faint glow rose beyond the horizon. The sky shifted-from midnight blue to violet, then to a soft periwinkle. Across the chilled fields, dewdrops shimmered like clusters of stars... But beneath the breath of the waking sun, the dewdrops vanished into the air-as though they had never existed. No trace remained. Only the lingering chill of morning seemed to prove they were ever there. In Dark Cacao Cookie's eyes, the stillness of the horizon remained. In Mystic Flour Cookie's eyes, the cycle of the dewdrops endured.
"So it shall be."
The rising and setting sun-meaningless in this world. Dark Cacao Cookie shed himself of worldly bonds in this perpetual cycle. Like the shadows that lengthen silently at dusk, or the dewdrops that gleam and vanish at dawn... Everything simply exists in its place-silently taking in the beauty of Apathy.
