Game Description[]
If you hear a faint, eerie laughter and experience an unusual lack of energy... It means that Agar Agar Cookie is lurking nearby! This Cookie, beset with an ever-present magical hunger, might appear sluggish, but make no mistake: slowly but inevitably, she will move towards a new source of Life Energy to sustain herself. Little is known about this mystical creature who spent a long time dwelling at the bottom of a forgotten well dripping with briny seawater—formless, shadow-like. Agar Agar Cookie's fate took a new turn when the lid of her well was opened by a crimson priestess. Having gained a purpose from this unexpected visitor, Agar Agar Cookie took on an appearance reminiscent of her new ally. One thing is for certain: if you ever see a shadow, gazing at you with crimson eyes, start praying. For there is little you can do...

Appearance[]
Agar Agar Cookie is a slightly short, slender Cookie with pale grey-blue dough. Her face is calm and unreadable, framed by thick white lashes that starkly contrast her sharp, maroon eyes, which peak out through her translucent bangs.
Her hair has a jelly-like, semi-translucent texture with a faint bluish-purple sheen, similar to actual agar. It’s shaped into sharp, geometric forms (primarily cuboid) mimicking a stylized hime cut. The hair falls heavily to the floor in three thick, straight strands, each tipped with a solid cube. From behind her hair sprout two red algae branches shaped like closed eyes.
She wears two distinct kimono layers. The inner kimono is stark white, sleeveless, and folded in a burial style (right over left). It’s cropped short to expose her shins and bare feet, the hem outlined with rounded white ruffles. Over this is a large, draping white kimono that slips off both shoulders entirely. The sleeves are oversized and wide, with grey checkered cuffs. A grey lining with double white stripes runs along the borders, and the hem ends in jagged red ruffles that drag behind her.
From under her sleeves, white wrist wraps occasionally peek out. A single red ribbon is tied around her left ankle.
She holds a large oval mirror close to her torso, often covering her upper body with it. The mirror is framed in red algae, the top left side growing outward in a branching shape. Just below that, a white ribbon is tied on the frame, giving it a ceremonial or binding feel.
Her posture is consistently closed-off and guarded: shoulders low, arms inward, and the mirror clutched in a way that’s both defensive and possessive. She never appears threatening, but never inviting either, just distant, preserved, and watching.
Personality[]
Agar Agar Cookie is driven by gluttony, seeking to absorb the powers of other Cookies, likening the feeling to a hunger towards food. Awakened and given form by Pomegranate Cookie, she swore her loyalty to her new mistress after being promised a way to satiate her hunger through absorbing the powers of the Guardians of Nature. Despite the danger she poses, she is only misguided rather than truly malicious, with her desire for fullness leaving her vulnerable to being exploited for the Darkness’ cause.
Character Inspiration[]
Agar Agar Cookie is based on agar agar, a jelly-like substance derived from red algae which serves as an alternative to gelatin in a variety of desserts and pretty popular in Asian cuisine. In reality, agar agar is flavorless on its own and absorbs the flavor of that which is added to it. This reflects Agar Agar Cookie's insatiable hunger and her ability to copy the abilities of the Legendary Cookies by "consuming" their power with her mirror.

Agar Agar Cookie as a slime
Agar Agar Cookie's monstrous slime form closely resembles the dumbo octopus (genus Grimpoteuthis). This inspiration is likely derived from a pun between the Korean word for agar agar, 우무 (umu), and the Korean name for the dumbo octopus, 우무문어 (umumun-eo).
Her design and presence draw heavily from traditional Japanese cultural aesthetics and folklore. Her layered kimono, burial-style wrapping, and solemn, ceremonial appearance evoke images of yūrei, ghostly figures in white funeral robes. More specifically, she appears to take inspiration from the gaki, or hungry ghosts, mythological beings condemned to wander the earth in a state of eternal starvation. These spirits are often depicted with bloodshot eyes and hollow features, reflecting an inner emptiness they can never satisfy. While Agar Agar Cookie does not exhibit overt ghoulishness, her guarded posture, piercing maroon eyes, and passive but unsettling presence echo the restless nature of the gaki, and like them, she is a figure of quiet hunger (roaming, watching, absorbing, but never truly fulfilled).

References[]
- ↑ Inferred; Agar Agar Cookie had existed at the bottom of a well for "a long time" before becoming a Cookie, and she is seemingly not privy to the passage of time due to her simultaneous old chronological age and child coding. Furthermore,
Pomegranate Cookie, a known adult, refers to Agar Agar Cookie as "child" and
Fire Spirit Cookie, another adult, refers to her as "kid."
